LAMINAR SEALS

Simple and cost effective design of seal based on the concept of a series of laminar rings creating a labyrinth sealing arrangement for both rotary and static applications.

• Particularly effective in extremely dirty and abrasive environments.
• Non-contacting surfaces mean low friction, no heat generation and low wear in rotary applications.
• Sizes from 15mm to 1300mm nominal bore or shaft diameters.
• Special sizes can be produced in small batches without prohibitive costs.
• Standard spring steel for temperatures to 300 degrees C, nickel-chrome steel for temperatures to 750 degrees C.
• Good balance for high speed applications.
• All round support for high axial loads.
• Produced for over 50 years.
• Plastic ring carriers to suit standard rolling element bearing sizes.
• Positive static sealing for exhaust systems.
